Would higher flow (STD) be preferred over higher exhaust velocity/pressure (HF)? It seems that a manifold with higher velocity will promote faster spool over higher flow.
Example: Say you are cleaning one of your box fans (ya know, it's dusty n'----) and you take it outside for a hose down... Full blast with an open hose won't necessarily turn the fan too fast, but if you create a restriction the velocity of the water increases and the speed of the fan does too. Just a thought, a simple simple thougth.
Get what ever is available to you. I'd get the HF because my thought process is too simple to think otherwise
