It doesn't matter. Get the cheapest one you can find.

Re:your opinion........ better junkyard mani..... HF or STD
werd! thats what i like to hear.....
do both the hf and std require port matching???? |
Re:your opinion........ better junkyard mani..... HF or STD
i think the STD is smaller. check out the tech projects section on the website.
either way get which is cheaper or that you can acually find |
Re:your opinion........ better junkyard mani..... HF or STD
STD has larger runners than the HF, also has the imprint of #3 on runner #4
|
Re:your opinion........ better junkyard mani..... HF or STD
ok ... so is it good to have the longer runners.....
|
Re:your opinion........ better junkyard mani..... HF or STD
larger, i dont think they're longer
|
Re:your opinion........ better junkyard mani..... HF or STD
The runners on the STD are larger so you can port it more and get better flow. If you have the choice of which one to get, go with the STD.

Would higher flow (STD) be preferred over higher exhaust velocity/pressure (HF)? It seems that a manifold with higher velocity will promote faster spool over higher flow.
Example: Say you are cleaning one of your box fans (ya know, it's dusty n'----) and you take it outside for a hose down... Full blast with an open hose won't necessarily turn the fan too fast, but if you create a restriction the velocity of the water increases and the speed of the fan does too. Just a thought, a simple simple thougth. Get what ever is available to you. I'd get the HF because my thought process is too simple to think otherwise :D |
