I am having trouble figuring out my problem. I have a 96 civic lx I have z6 intake manifold using stock engine harness. I have obd1 p72 chipped ecu. My car is in limp mode and I can't get it out. I tried unhooking the battery and it does not clear my cells. Its throwing codes 91 72 73 which is insufficent purge, cylinder misfire 2 and 3. I changed dizzys with a known good one same thing. I am using 550 cc presicion injectors. I have tried differant chips an maps.
I am not running the sensor under throttle body or the iacv valve. I turned off all the sensors i could in crome.
I changed my spark plugs with new ones gapped to .030 NGK R . car runs and will boost but it wont go past 3000 RPMish
Its got some smoke coming out. mabye because its in limp mode? compression was checked its good. I am not sure what else to try.

Can anyone give me some ideas?

It will not resolve your problem, but it will almost get out of your limp mode. Disable the cel code 72 and 73 in crome and limp mode will end. Maybe you will have to unhook the battery for 30-60sec.

You should not disable all the sensors, it's not a good idea. The throttle body sensor is important.

im not exactly sure how to turn codes off in crome. I looked but can't find anything. This car is turning into a head ache quick. I still have map and TPS hooked up on the TB just not the fitv
