what is the compression on the y7 and y8 engine and can you use any year y8 intake manifold on a 97 y7.

y8 im will fit y7...if 5 speed you'll need to swap to the y8 5 speed tb and get the 5 speed im that has the iacv on it. the auto y8 and auto and 5 speed y7 use the same iacv mounted on the tb not the im. if you ever want to obd1 your car you need to use 5 speed y8 route and do the 2 wire iacv fix.
