ok so here i am crusing thought this little hick town like 30 miles from my house and i see this corolla sitting in the yard of some run down dump and go ask the guy who lives there how much for the car.... he says 100$ but it doesn't run and that i can go monkey with it.... we came back got a trailer... got it home i put new spark plugs and wires and changed oil and drained gas and put new it and jumper cables on the battery... this car is fun as hell and i would like to see more of them but im looking for more power .... also 4th gear pops out very eaisly and it is full of fluid... whats wrong there?? if any one knows the best way to get power and also relibilty outta this motor or another i could simply swap... fabrication is no issue but cost is so idk if i wanna go boost, all engine or spray what ever is going to be the best for my engine .... power wise and relability... id like to get boosted so id like to know the best options for my fuel system.... i turboed my cavalier so im somewhat knowledeged in this area but this is no cavalier and i want what is best
id liek to see abotu 50-75 more horse ... that seems realistic right now thanks guys... l8er

do some research on the engine and car and either turbo it or do a swap, info is just sitting out there waiting to be discovered... SEARCH

Find out the engine code...from there you can search. Supposedly there are a ton of things you can do to the ae86's to make power.

i kno nuthing about toyotas .... ill i have to go by is you guys and my hanes repair manual... maybe u could give me some links to some websites with some other info.... this would really help out tons

if you want more HP out of the stock motor, start at the normal places, header, exhaust, intake, head porting, etc

get on google or something and search for some toyota specific forums to help you out, otherwise stay here and turbo it dont forget to take pics

ae86 is a chassis code. they come with a 4age theirs tons of ---- you can do
