WTF to use on block posts?
I can't get any Devcon Liquid Aluminum. What can I use w/o having to resort to JB Weld, which will most likely leak like it did on AbaZ's crvtec (before the engine blew). I figure that high strength/high temp loctite 266 threadlock will work, and maybe some JB Weld on the outside, just to be safe. Or if someone can get the real ---- then I will pay $$ for some.

Re:WTF to use on block posts?
why cant you get any liquid aluminum?
personally I wouldnt use anything else..
look at it this way,
the posts are made of the exact same material as the block right? thats for a very good reason,
so they will heat up/cool down with the block.
why would you then go ahead and fill in the cracks with some random ---- that doesnt do the same??

Re:WTF to use on block posts?
i am having a hard time buying the ---- b/c Lowe's didn't have it and they acted like i was crazy for wanting to buy some. Home Depot near me has discontinued the equivalent Quik Aluminum epoxy, so I was SOL there, too. All the websites I found that sell it are for industrial *****'s and require you to set up a gay-*** corporate account to buy ----. well now that i know about mcmaster.com i will use their site. thanks.
