Default b16a2 + SAFC with 450's

how many people are out there with my engine using the safc hack as fuel managment how much boost are you running so on and so on, i just reently upgraded to a t3/t4 and im still running the FMU but i havent boosted it up yet and i already bought the super AFC and the DSM 450cc injectors but i hear these horror storys about people blowing there SI's with only 8PSI!!! does anyone have experiance with this motor that would know what PSI is safe for my car with a t3/t4, its .48/.54 , free flow cat, free flow muffler, big *** IC, motor is on good condition 220 on all four cylinders last time i check compression.

Nope, no idea at all.

heh, nah, how much boost are you running with the FMU? What car and ecu are you going to be using the AFC hack for? The AFC will supply enough fuel and will be "safe" at over 10 psi. Definately get it dyno tuned after, but you can safely be around 10-15 psi.

i was running 6.5 PSI on my wussy T3, now im only running 2 PSI because i havent adjusted the wastegate sine i put the new turbo on, i have a 99 civic si, so i dont know what ECU it is, its an obdII thats all i know, you say safe for 10 to 15PSI but your probably thinking of a d series engine, my compression is pretty high and im afraid of blowing my ----, its going to be dyno tuned though.

Well yeah, I'm sure you probably don't want to risk boosting up to 15 psi on the stock engine, but I'm just saying even if you had your engine built, the AFC hack I would say would be safe up to 15 psi (possible more not sure).
But thats your call, if your planning on around 10, the AFC would be perfect. or you could keep running the FMU But I would get it dyno tuned like you said you were. Thats the best way to actually see whats going on and how to extract all that extra power.

so when someone gets there car dyno tuned they should be able to tell if 10 PSI is safe? will they retard my timing and all that ---- at no extra cost?
