After I reassembled it, it seemed to be just fine. After a day I decided to put a check valve before the mbc so the vacuum wont pull the diaphragm.
Working great so far! Boost levels same throughout the day with no spikes.

which? the standard is a bleeder valve but their high performance is a ball and spring.

Budget boost controler? The black one lookes just like my air compressor regulator. It would work the same I guess.

So I redid the diagram to show how it's on my car.
The one way valve was used as insurance to prevent the vacuum to unseat the diaphragm in the regulator.

ahhh thats genius! thatll fix my surgin idle from my open t fittings and i only would need one check valve.

ahh but you know it would have to be a fairly large check valve, if not its gona act like a restriction on that line, isnt it? what type of valve did you use

For your "boost leak" control setup Rene, the size of the check valve matters. Mike's setup only relies on pressure, not flow.

Bumping an old thread up.

Instead of getting it from the IM, couldn't you just use the nipple on the compressor? There's not much vacuum there.( i don't think so anyways)

I know there's different pressure from the compressor to the IM, but you could always adjust the mbc to make up for it.

Thanks for bumping this thread, I just put together a bleed type setup for mine and it works good but I wanted to know how people use the top port for boost control and here it is.

Couple questions tho. I would think that even plugging up the top port hole the pressure inside the wastegate would alter the boost level as it would require more force to open the valve? Is this not the case? Reason I'm asking takes me to my 2nd question. I have a switch up front that allows me to switch between wastegate spring pressure (3.6 psi on mine) and stage 2 by opening a solenoid on the bleed line. If you were to add a solenoid to your top port setup would it alter the stage 1 psi when the stage 2 solenoid was closed?
