Default Is it worth it to turbo the D?

So I have come across this slight dilema...Should I turbo my daily or put together a swap.I have a 98 civic coupe. The motor is a d16y7 with 105k,and it drives really nice.I really don't want to put together a swap, but a little more power would be nice.My goal would is to get up to about 160-170 hp, but the trick is,I want to keep the motor as stock as possible..Any recommendations or suggestions.Thank you for your time.

well ok think about this for a second you posted on a site called home made turbo.com and asked if its a good idea to turbo your ----....... what the ---- do you think people are going to tell you? Ok since i was debating the same thing i guess i will share my thoughts.. Right now if you want to do a b16 swap your lucky if you find it for under 1500 and you are going to be seeing 160 hp at the fly reving like crazy and maby 140 at the wheels.... if you were to do a minime swap and turbo your ---- for 1500 and do a good job ( ive done it on a crx for less than $500) you could easily meet your 160-170 whp golas easily and reliably.. or just shoot for a lil more like 200hp and be set,,, i got no clue why you want to keep it as stock as possible though unless u live in cali or ny i say boost your ----

LOL,I get what your saying man.Of course the biggest response will be to boost it.I guess the question I should have asked is what would be a good set-up to help me achieve these goals.Yep,I live in cali, but I don't have to worry about smog.I have a b16 now in my hatch that I for sure plan on boosting, but that one will be carefully put together and built.I just want to have a little more power for my daily.I want to keep the head and block completely stock,so I'm seeing what's the most hp and boost the stock motor would be able to handle. If worse comes to worse, then I could always get another D and do the same thing.I appriciate the input.

What more answer's do you want? You can put together a damn good kit for 1500 and make 180-200 hp reliably and spank on "b16s". Once you boost, you'll never go back
