Why don't you think that it will last long? And what is user error?

Listen to Who?

honda' bearings; main's and oil passages and the way the block isn't decked are all factors on how the turbo'd motors will hold up from time and boost. User error means imroper tuning or too high boost numbers on stock internals, or just any error caused by the driver.

once you start to boost, you will notice yourself saying "oh it's only 2 more pounds...."

Ok what is if i changed my plans and got a Sohc vtec motor and boosted that to 6-8psi would that beat a gsr with a lot of mods? I don't think i would be too worried about blowing one of those? Also can you use a zydyne on any ecu. For example if i did get the Sohc vtec motor and decided to upgrade to b18b1 later could i use the same zydyne or will i have to get a new one?

Re:Is it worth it?

A b18 can get 210 with 6-8 psi...Its all a matter of tuning.

Re:Is it worth it?

What about the SOHC vtec do you think it can beat a fairly modified gsr integra? Running 6-10psi?

Re:Is it worth it?

non factory boosted cars, that you make custom setups for will not last forever. the engines aren't made for the heat that a turbocharger makes.

most people don't have problems but, oil/water temps go up, valves and pistons are exposed to high heat. trannies axels clutches ext don't last long.

i'd say your biggest problem will be drivetrain problems, like trannies and definatly clutches.

if you want to make your car faster and have it last forever spend the money on a supercharger.
