What type of spark plug should one run for a previously NA engine?

Stock plugs are just fine...

Definitely NGK's.
I went one step colder, although you will be fine with the stock heat range.

hey i have ngk's laying around that were for a b18....which i dont have anymore...they are just a tad longer than my d16 plugs...use them or no?

I wouldn't suggest sticking longer spark plugs in your car. That could be a disaster waiting to happen. Buy new spark plugs man.
