Exactly. A T25 will build a good amount of boost from a full throtlle rev. Those new SRT4's build boost with no load. ------- tiny *** turbos. :P

Even with a larger turbo it seems like you could build some boost if you use the E BRAKE. That was what I was planning to do for mad tire-wasting launches. Haven't had a chance to try it tho, and timing will be a pain.

Yeah, but using the E-brake would be WITH a load.
If your clutch will handle it, that would be a nice way to launch.

Well I'm using the RHb5 turbo and I can't build boost... is it because of the HF manifold? Other's I know can't build boost in their civic/rex either with no load.

I knew a guy with the same problem, B16A with a Drag kit (T3/T4) and when we were taking it to the shop to see what happened, and on the way to the shop the car started to boost..
i have never owned a car that could not boost without load (just reving it). Maybe my turbo's are too small...LOL

i get the same thing. i cant reach boost by revving it but in gear...holy ---- BOOST! also, my bov doesnt even blow off when revving, just when it has load!? it doesnt really bother me, though i do wish it would blow off just revving. oh well, i may just get a better bov down the line.
