here is the compressor map for the turbo in question, yes it is a Borg Warner Ishi/IHI for the 87-88 T Bird Turbocoupe. They also came with a .60/.63 aiResearch. The T3 exhaust side on that isn't a regular T3, just a T3 fitting at the exhaust inlet. The turbine itself is the standard MX6 VJ11 turbine which is 52mm outer diameter and much smaller than a T3.

I added in pressure ratio on the left of the map as well as converted m3/min to CFM. The only thing you'll have to do at this point is to figure out theoretical VE of your neighbors motor and plug in the numbers to figure out where you'll be on the compressor map for which RPM. If you'd like, I can post a virgin map and he or you can plot the rpm yourself, or let me know the max rpm of his car and I can calculate it for you and post the results.

I never downed his car either, I said stock turbo wrxs are slow and his prolly won't be much faster at that boost level(5-6psi) I downed you car so i figure you would say something sooner or later, you started the insults -------. Why should i show my car now, then i have to deal with more of your bullshit and fight over the internet about something i don't care about. You owned yourself by acting like a meathead over the internet. good luck on the setup

Wow great setup guys. What kind of power will the 2.5rs make with that boost level and turbo? I bet that thing would roll a stock wrx even on the low boost ;D

congrats guys on the setup. looks nice. and 99rssub congrats on joining the turbo club. just watch the wiring harness where it comes through the fire wall near the DP. now go out and make some vids of that thing tuned at 5-6 psi. and hotrex no night time vids O0. winter's coming, so go make those vids now and again nice work guys

You know I met this guy at the Madras drag strip that had swapped an STI motor into his Impreza (Not 2.5RS). He also had a full 3" exhaust, VF34 turbo and a racing clutch. He apparently couldn't drive because the fastest I saw him run was a 10.3 while I was running a 9.5 keep in mind it's 1/8th mile.

I have to agree stock wrx's are slow :P

my cousin has a wrx (04), stock it was slow, fun to drive but not fast. Upgraded turbo, very fun 1st gear, but after that, eh. Now he has an STi block with his 2.0 head. I haven't driven it, but it should be a little faster and a little more fun.

BTW... Mr. Neighbor guy. Nice car and to the NE peeps, nice install. I love those RS's, mainly how the front looks. IMO the rear looks too bland for the front. But I still wouldn't mind having one of those puppies.
