A big boost spike in first gear wouldn't matter at all because the gear is over in like one second. Besides if you have to be worried about a few psi then you have a shitty setup.

Most likely has to do with your tuning. What ECU program did you use for engine management? I would ask the person who burnt your chip what they did to the settings for first gear. Its a good thing that you dont boost much in 1st anyways to avoid blowing your motor in that short gear span.

hey thanks for all this help that you guys are givin ;D again i have a 4spd manual tranny dohc zc with t-25 turbo and turbo edit. so i dont think my setup is shitty it's just that i have a 4-speed so all the boost counts(i have an si trannythat i want to swap but im unable to) and now that ive been drive'n the car more.... sometimes it boost in first, but most the time it wont (bout a 6:1 ratio) so that is why im somewhat concerned. thanks again

I dont make boost in first...I might make 1-2psi...no biggie...I have 2nd and 3rd and 4th and 5th ;D

i have never heard of that problem before...i hit a easi 15+ psi on first gear, without hitting redline, or revlimiter.

thats cuz ur turbo is the size of my head... u dont get full boost til like 3rd or forth huh? well i never run to full boost(except a few times but i can hit full boost in 2nd,3rd,and 4th) |
