Sure you could, the ECU doesn't know or care nor is it able to control it even if it did.

Now, let me know when you plan on boosting in reverse so that I can make sure to clear out of the way.

this happens to mee too..i cant seem to get past 4-5psi, WOT in first. now my buddy with a SR20DET can make like 10+ just by chucking revs at idle

I can make 15psi by chuckin the revs in idle ;D

On another note do you really have a reason to boost in first gear on a front wheel driven car? Isn't lighting the tires up easy enough in second gear?

this guy has an Automatic not 5spd, automatic will shift on it own u cant control shifting in automatic, unless u go like 15mph and then give it full throttle. i had an automatic, and that ---- sucks, switch to 5spd and you'll see a world of a difference

are you sure he has an automatic and not the civic std 4spd manuel tranny?

get a manual transmission, automatics undershift in first-not enough exhaust pushing the turbine.

yeah it's most likely the 4 speed manual since the auto tranny wouldn't have lasted long enough for him to make this thread
