I was having trouble figuring out what happened with the descriptions of "BOOM", and then "I don't remember the car knocking". I'm thinking "did he see the oil light and shut it off?" WTF.

It dosen't look that bad in the pictures you posted. Did you go start it as it sits and stand on the gas to blow it proper and then you could would have real pics?

 

Ugh no, I pulled the oil pan yesterday and found that the real "carnage" was inside.

I'll have new pics later tonight, my computer at home is ------- peice of ---- and kept locking up on me last night while trying to upload them..

But, to make a long story short, I'm completely missing 1 piston and rod, there are holes in the front and rear of the oil pan, the part that holds the crank is missing a chunk, and the oil pickup is pinched shut. It's got a decent amount of internal fuckage

OK so you diden't have the oil pickup pop loose, the rod blew it out basicly?

 

You mean the drain fitting? If so, yes, it was the piston that did the damage.
