Default Where to buy radiator hose for charge pipe coupling....

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone knows any place to get a few feet of like 2-1/2 inch heater hose, so I can make charge pipe couplers out of it. I really don't wanna pay a bunch of money to get it welded or buy silicone couplers. I just want some cheap heater hose for my cheap setup . Thanks for any help. I've been to the local parts stores and they don't have anything that big. I was thinking of trying a truck store, but I don't know of any in my area.

Bud i just made my own charge pipes out of APC (APV?) it is like PVC except it is black and more thicker. Paid like 5 bucks for 6 ft and a buck for each 90 bend, it is best to go with 2", i wanted 2.5" but that is not a standard size and 3" was too big., plus 2 bucks for the cement to seal the ---- together and 5 bucks for a rubber coupler. in total about 15 bucks spent. The ---- is pretty strong, the cement bonds really well. I am not sure how it will hold up to heat but so far so good. Feels like a very sturdy setup to me. Oh yeah in case your car came with the same intake as mine, on my 93 del sol there is a 1.5 feet rubber hose that connects from my intake to the airbox, i just shoved the 2" APC pipe into the end that connects to the air box and it was a super tight fit. Actually it fit like a super tight glove almost as if i was meant to shove APC in there. If you need help PM me, I will take pices of the ghetto setup and post it up by end of the week.

i dont know if you have a store called west marine but they have hoses that are up to 3 in in diameter maybe more. i remember we bought it for our boat and it was designed for high heat app. it also has a wire that loops around the hose, i guess for strength. anyways its called West Marine a boat store really big. theres one in long beach ca and more but not sure check out thier website

Do you remember how much that marine hose goes for? I would like to make my own couplers since I already bought a bunch of mandrel bent piping 2.5 inch. I got like 4 U-bends and 1 45 degree bend.
