GT3251e would be a good turbo for you...its basically a modified 57 trim. It has a smaller compressor wheel so it spools faster on the B16, but will still make 300whp on 10psi. I have a GT3255b and made 315/216 @ 10psi

GT30R, GT35R, etc, are overpriced garbage with short lifespans. Stop paying attention to what magazines are trying to sell you and develop an opinion of your own based on real world experience.

OMG...someone here isn't stupid. Thanks for saying that! I cant stand how everyone brainlessly suggests "GT35r or GT30r" because they read it was the "magic turbo" in one of their ricer, F&F style magazines. I can see the GT30r suggestion somewhat for his power goals, but not really....and especially not the GT35r. You'd have to run 6-7psi on it and that would be a huge waste of money w/ unneccessary lag.

I'm sticking to my earlier suggestion. I think the GT3251e would be a good turbo for you. It is a journal bearing turbo that closely resembles a 57trim in looks, price and performance. It does spool a little faster because, as i mentioned in my last post, it has a smaller compressor wheel. If you want, go on Honda-tech and PM The Shodan. I bought my GT3255b from him...he's a great guy and will help you out

But I'm with the boys. If you're baller status, go full race. I'd imaging their GT28R would get you there.

Get the ---- out of here with that DSM bullshit, god damn it.

Soichiro would turn over in his grave if he knew you were recommending people put puny Mitsubishi turbos on B series motors.

on a b16, lots of turbos can work and give you 300 hp easy.

for a fast spooling turbo that spools up as quick as a gt28R, costs 1/3 of the price, is rebuildable and equipped with a t3 flange, i would suggest:

t3/t04B 54 trim, stage 1, .63/.60 a/r, watercooled.
you could also try the t3/t04e 46 trim, stage 1, .63/.70 a/r, watercooled.

I had many reports of as much as 300-340 whp with those and i never eared anyone complaining about spool up.

figure the cfm of your head x the amount of boost you want to run / by 4 then add that ontop of your injector cc's x 0 and thats how much boost pressure you'll need.

How is this so hard to understand.. Bigger turbo and 10psi to make 300 or smaller turbo and 14+psi to make 300, it doesnt matter. Both can blow your ---- up without engine management. With crome as cheap as it is I dont really know what to say
