What turbo comes with a 5 or 6 psi wastegate?

I looked in the search but all i found was how to lengthen the arm to reduce boost but I wan to know what turbos came it wastegates set at 5 or 6 psi.

84-89 Nissan 300 and 200 turbos have 5psi gates.
84-90ish Chryslers have 6-7 psi gates.

If you wanna start out low, find a Nissan gate.
You can up the boost later with a controller or a bleed valve.

Early 80's Saab 900 is 4 psi. Somewhere around 85 they started running 5.5 psi ones.

Does it matter what the wastegates are set at if you know how to lower it?

Personally, I would go with what turbo A) Has an easier fitment, and B) Easier to obtain.

Its easier for people just to use turbos that have low boost settings, so theirs no wastegate swapping, or any type of fabrication.

Personally this is how I base my turbo buying on.

1. Price
2. Size
3. Ease of install

To me, adjusting the boost is no big deal, but to others I am sure it is.

I know I can adjust the one I have by making the arm longer but that means the flap will be slightly open causing lag right? So if I just get one that is already set at 6 psi the flap is closed not lag and starts to open at 6psi. I want the 6 psi without the lag because I love how the t25 spools up.

As a saftey feature, could you not just install a Pressure release valve on the charge piping? I still have yet to save up for the components for my project as I managed to blow up a d16z6 with NO turbo! Plus over in the UK everything is more expensive. However, i've been thinking much of saftey and thats what i'd do as a just in case?
