i think the big advantage of the 60-1 is the ability we have to modify it's specifications to alter it's behavior. I mean, I can put the 60-1 wheel in a 0.50, 0.60, 0.70 a/r housing, i can use a wide variety of t3 and t4 turbine wheels with turbine a/r's from 0.48 to 1.32!!! if you don't like spool up or top end, there's hundreds of different configurations possible to fully exploit any portion of the flowchart on any engine.
THat's a flexibility of tuning that you DO NOT have with holsets and GT turbos.
