can someone help...the turbo says garrett air research 42 comp, 84 AR...anyone know what kind of turbo it is I got no clue...help me out...would that be good for stock b16 motors?

its prolly a t3 .42/.48, ive got one too and the 4 and 8 are arranged oddly, so i guess you could mistake it for 84, but its really 48

 

No its probably from a diesel.

 

hhhmmmm...i think i was pretty sure it said 84 ar...i only looked at it for a few seconds...this one guy was selling it...i thought it was for a truck of some sort...i asked him where he got it from, he just said he traded some'em for it, so he didn't exactly no where it was from...i'll have to check it again...i just really wanted to know if anyone of u ever heard of a 42/84 turbo...when i saw it i was just like, what?

on a t3 42/48, the hotside should be much bigger than the cold side right?

 

It most likely is a 42/84 from a diesel. Don't waste your time.
