I have a turbo from a 84 nissan 200sx. does anyone know anything about it? It has .63 on the exhaust side and .48 on the other side. I was told its a t2 but i want to be sure and what psi it is set at??

I remember seeing one of those awhile back. Pretty damn small. Those cars were 5psi stock. They only made 120hp out of its 1.8 turbo....sad....sad....

 

would it make an ok turbo to run?

 

it's not going to pull very hard but it's better then nothing i guess. and 5 psi is pretty good if don't have much engine managment

 

Ever seen a stock Stealth R/T turbo, I'd say it should be called a T-15 b/c a TD05 flows like 40% more !! If you wanna run like 7 psi, I'd think it would be perfect, spools up fast and shouldn't run out of air. A DSM turbo could prob. run 20psi on a CRX, so I think its kinda big b/c most CRX guys only run 6-12psi, and it just takes longer to spool up. I'd say it could run AT LEAST 9psi, prob. 12-14psi...

 

i read on a site whre a guy had his boosted to 17 psi before it blew his engine.

 

I meant 12-14psi with out superheating the air, that's prob. what blew his motor... Just b/c the turbo can make 25psi doesn't mean it can do it without superheating the air and causing knock..

 

so will bumping up the psi from 5 to about 8 or so on that little thing really crank up the hp verymuch? Or am i just going into problems with my engine?
