It'll work dude. But if I was you, I would go ahead get the intercooler that I want. It will really benefit you in the long run. Trying to fabricate piping is a ------- bitch, especially not having the tools for it, such as welding machine and ----..... Patience is virtue.

those DSM SMIC's are small as hell. they suck once you turn up the boost on DSM's...but since you will be flowing much less CFM and boosting much less it should work fine. just make sure the dirty bastard doesnt leak or anything. you can use it for a FMIC if you want, just might be a pain to run charge pipes, but nothing too bad.

 

I'm gonna use a Thunderbird intercooler up front on my wifey's Del Sol, hopefully it would be good enough.
