I ued to own a galant. We cut apart the badge and epoxy'd it to my friends probe... any guesses what it said? I wish I still had the pictures...

I had an 88 mx-6 with the thunderbird hybred turbo. It made a difference for sure especially as I turned up the boost. But the exhaust set up on the cars is anemic. There's alot of improvement left in just that area.

 

I already have a bmc turbine outlet flage coming(for some reason sam actually makes them for a probe)
I am doing a 2.5" dp and 2.5" exhaust. That should give me about 30 hp right there... and a much wider power band.

Looks good for it's age and price.

Should be all kinds of fun with the normal upgrades for turbo car's: Big exshaust & D/P, a BOV that is'nt plastic and leaky and a MBC.
My vote is for a big turbo and intercooler, ss long as your making a new down pipe might as well replace that little IHI to.

Maybe since it's a square flange mani, you could just redrill the mani holes and bolt up a 14b/16g?

 

Definately get a bigger turbo, something like a t3/t4 :1
