What causes chipped fins?

Default What causes chipped fins?

Just wondering, i bought a t25 and it looks great but bassically every fin has small chips. Should i be worried?

If the person before you didnt use a filter it probably sucked
up a tiny pebble or something and chiped it like that.
Should be a problem unless it's really big chip because
it will cause the turbo to be unbalanced.

um.... a turbo spins at 120,000 + rpms. one chip will throw it out of balance enough to ---- the turbo more than it already is. your bearings are probly blown, because i gaurantee it didnt stop spinning after whatever it was came out.

i would get a refund or rebuild it with a new bearings and seals and a new wheel

is there something to check for as far as seeing if the bearings are fubared?

(exessive) radial and axial play(should be zero)
