Faith?

Ususally they go by color, but with knock-offs who knows. If it's a 7psi spring you ordered then I guess it's going to be a 7psi spring, you hope. Rock it and find out I guess.

Just put it in the wastegate and hook it up to a pressure regulator on an air compressor; use a boost guage as a reference for the pressure. Dial it in and see if it starts to open.

or run with no dump tube, and be responsible with the boost, just roll on it slowly till you find out if its opening @ said boost pressure

what wastegate do you have?
post the link to the ebay auction.

tial style wastegates have 2 size springs (skinny and wide) which can be run seperately or together for desired psi.

The rate of the spring determines the psi; the harder the spring pushes on the diaphragm, the more boost you are going to need to force it upwards. Rate is not measured in PSI, but in load/displacement. So, there is no way to check it by psi without installing it, unless you knew the manufacturer's specs for psi to rate conversion and are able to accuratelly measure spring rate.

Just instal it and check, it dosn't have to be in an engine.
