I will be using my internal wg and need to find a blank or a cover for the wg flange on my manifold. Does anyone know where I can find one or what should I use? I do not want to permanently block it off (welding a piece of steel on) as I may later down the road go with a different turbo and a external WG setup. Any suggestions or input is appreciated.

 

cut out a peice of metal and bolt it up then when you want too use a external wastegate unbolt it

 

Yeah but I want it to look all purdy you know lol. Nice cnc flange cover lol. I'm sure thats what I will wind up doing but I figured I would post IF someone has resources for a nice fitted one.

 

well if you want it too look all purdy stop being a cheap *** and buy a purdy external one

 

If I wasnt such a cheap *** I wouldnt be here at HOME MADE turbo...no instead I would have forked out the bucks for a greddy or rev-hard KIT lol.



BTW I'm way overbudget on my hmt setup and like I said "EVENTUALY" I will go with an external sheesh!!! Please don't reply to this thread again you are NOT helping me lmao!

Well I broke down and bought an external tial wg yikes another huge dent in the wallet!! Thanks though. Tonight I was mocking everything up on my sparez6 (on the engine stand) and I was having a hell of a time mounting the WG actuator for the internal gate. Clearence issues arghhh!!! Mind you I am retaining my A/C so that is why I needed to clock the turbo 180 degrees. Instead of fabricating a bracket and re-rigging the already bent wastegate arm I said ---- it...ordered an external gate and a new t3 dp flange
