from years of reading online about what various yanks say about their fuel, i've come to the conclusion that consistency is the problem. ie, it varies from day to day and season to season and brand to brand and state to state etc. not 100% sure, but i doubt they brew ours any differently for summer and winter because winter is at worst 0C and summer at worst 30C for the vast majority of the country. even coming back to the car under a half a foot of snow on a tank of auckland gas at the top of the mountain after a days skiing, starts first time everytime. it is pretty tightly regulated, and there is only one little island to supply, it seems to be pretty consistent to me. certainly never seen anything settle out of it though. on the ute i have a glass bottomed fuel filter so i will be able to see if there is anything suss about it in future.

True that, we're a huge nation and most of our gas stations probably have some kind of soil contamination seeping through. Even though they say they take care of it

it was funny how cali forced there to be X % of MTBE for a few years, then they found they were all drinking it out of the tap at home and banned it being in there at all :-) i dont know how it could end up dirty, its much the same process as making whisky ;-) that ends up pretty clean even if its cheap :-)

Yea less thermo-chemical potential than gasoline.

But exhaust smells like fried chicken!

in effect that just means bigger pumps and injectors.

if we got e85 in nz i would be all over it like a hhh rash.

KLT-MX3 uses it and loves it. just gotta set it all up right.

what are some cons of it? i know roughly 106 oct rating, 2.50 a gallon. and a guy i met in loveland colorado is making 530whp @15psi h22 simular setup as mine, and at a mile + high..
tell me what i could/might have problems with, i like learing but its hard to just go online and try to read ---- that i dont even understand,

i know everyones trying to push this stuff but its dumb how there are no "econo box" cars on it.. i cant think of one.. they are all trucks, larger cars and suv's...

the plants are surviving off of government subsidies.. (my spelling owns me) since the ---- cost so much to make, i hear about it quite a bit, since im from the center of where its made, iowa.

random note soy beans prices are all up becuz a lot of farmers here in iowa went 100% corn this year so they can sell it to the plants.. ------- idiots the guys who planted beans are making bank if they sold all ready.. but it will prolly go higher later this spring when demand get higher and availibility gets low since not at much got planted..i know this because of the people i work around and a few of my friends are all AG bound, ---- i hate that ---- but neat to know i guess..
