wastegate...wrong flange????
ok i bought a SSAC wastegate used and when i matched it up it doesnt seem to fit flush..unless i take out this spacer/o-ring..type thing...what is the spacer for?...maybe to adapt to bigger flanges??...im not sure but would it be ok to take that out?..or should i have my flang bored a little bit?...here are some pics to help you out...

The o-ring /spacer thing

the spacer thing goes around the plug thing that opens ..you can see where it goes

as you can see the little tiny space between the flanges...

here it is without the spacer thing...
any suggestions
?

Could be wrong but when you bolt it down, that will seal. You don't necessarily want a seal between the two flanges, but wrather a seal between the two openings. That ring is meant to do so I believe. Once you tighten the bolts down to spec, the seal will be acheived.
