hey, i got a ssac wastegate and with the kit came a ring that fits into the inlet to the wastegate to seal the valve completely, Do i put that in? What has everybody done..no ring just vlave by itself with the gap around the valve?

 

Yes that is used to create a seal against the ring and the valve.
