Default wastegate location

hey guys so im building a single turbo setup for my 05 v6 mustang.

i got a T04 60trim. my intention is to run two wastegates 38mm or larger. i dont know yet. 10-13psi is the goal. im going to be running a Y pipe that brings the exhaust to the front of the car where the turbo would be sitting in front of the motor.

but this is the question. i want my wastegates vented to the atmosphere, not redirected through the exhaust system. and i want them as close to the headers as possible so this thing is LOUD as fawk, at full boost.

is there pros and cons vs running two wastegates (one off each manifold) or a single one after the Y?

if im not clear enough let me know!

yeah but the closer to the manifolds the more intense it sounds... its a v6. i want it to sound scary.

would it affect the turbo system at all having them way back away from the turbo?

the closer to the head the more heat it will let go of and that heat may just end up melting ---- it your engine compartment. im no thermo dynamic engineer or anything but turbos run on heat so i would guess and this is just a guess that the wastegate far from the turbo would mean spool up would be slower and boost creep will be more abundant. why do you think everyone has the wastegate right next to the turbo? its tried and true. plus do you really want to go out and buy two wastegates just so it will sound cool? plus i think no dumps on a waste gate is ------- annoying have you driven a car everyday with open wastegate?

That they do. And like someone else said 2 wastegates is expensive and another thing to go wrong. im a fan of keeping it simple.
