To a vacum/pressure source off the Intake manifold or on the nipple on the turbo if there is one.

If you want the WG open more accurately with respect to what the motor is actually seeing, get your source from somewhere on the intake manifold. If you take your source off the compressor housing, there will be some pressure drop when going through the charge pipes (more if it's through an intercooler) so opening at ~7psi at the compressor housing is different than what's actually going into the motor.

Side note, this is unlike a BOV or BPV where it *MUST* have it's line go to a source that gets a vacuum (on the engine side of the throttle body).

so you are saying you should put the vac line before the t/b or after

I placed my WG lead about a foot from the throttle body on the intercooler piping. That's close enough for me as I have better things to use the nipples on my intake manifold for.
