Re: want 350 for now, intercooler size?
got polyureathane motor mounts now. the way the wastegate comes out the ramhorn now it misses the support by a hair so when i shift it hits. the crack is right around the weld where the wastegate comes out. im quite sure it would not have cracked if it wasnt hitting the support. like i said its an easy fix. i was just wondering about the top mount cause its only a couple hundred more bucks than the ramhorn and the only thing stock is my bottom end and i already have another block that im gona build with cp pistons and eagle rods. was just wondering if the top moune wpuld have gave me better gains

You'd have done yourself a favor by building the ------- block first. That way you make up for less power per PSI with a shitload of boost. If a stock z6 head can do 400whp, I think a B18 head will fare just as favorably. Its not like its a EJ20 with heads that flow like ***, not to mention 1" of clearance to remove valve covers.
One thing to note, I think its on evans tuning, he managed 400whp out of a stock-block LS-Vtec. Which reminds me, building a B18B head is usually only cost effective if you can't do math. Free & used parts are the only way.

well i didnt build the fucken block first because the fuken motor was perfectley fine. i have another motor that needs rings so i decided ill build that one. it was easier to just go ahead and drop the cams in cause i didnt have to rip apart the motor. i didnt even have to take off the head. i just wanted to have a lil fun with this motor to see what it can do. this is a hobby for me . if i blow the bitch it dont mean ---- to me cause ive got 4 other cars. my friend did 300 whp on a fully stock ls motor so i was curious to see what i can do. my original plan was stock b18b boosted in a eg cx but as i started the project i just started buying fuken parts like crazy and i ended up with the setup i got. im buying a house so time was not on my side and i just wanted to get the bitch running so i can *** around on the weekends. but yes i will build the bottom end on my other motor and get some head work pnp and see what i end up with. i say *** vtec cause everyone is doing it. i just want to see how much i can get out of the ls.

dont cry i understand why u did it :P
