Did you notice the Hot Side? It's goofy like, it needs something else for a downpipe to work. The flapper is on the extentsion piece not the 5 bolt piece. See the flapper is on the extention OF that standard 5 bolt and the ext. is only like a 3 bolt. It's goofy as heck. How are you suppose to get a downpipe on there? Anyone know?

well just run the 3 bolt flange off of it...you cant use ac though with an internal gate.

Sorry I don't have a pic or anything, but I do have good news. I'll save the details of outrageous Volvo downpipe prices and phone calls that end with "......a civic and a volvo turbo; that's apples to oranges...." So with all that junk in between, go to your local muffler fabricator and just get a triangle 3 bolt flange. The holes are evenly spaced so it'll work and they should have them there. Our shop had a bunch and he just plopped it right on the studs. So thank you Jesus and thank you all for the help and I hope this helps anyone with the Volvo hot side mystery.

i got 2 volvo t3 and they look pretty standard beside the exhaust gasket cast into the houseing

 

Yea. Both of you are correct. That is exactly what it looks like. The studs sure are long for that downpipe. We just bought studs today and they aren't any where near that length. However, we are probably get the downpipe fabbed so no deal. Wierd though, huh?
