my buddy has a turbo from a volvo 240 that he said he would sell me for 60$ so i did a search and couldnt find much on this turbo. he said that he thinks its a .42/.48 but hes not positive b/c he hasnt seen it in a while. so if anyone could provide me with some information on this turbo it would be very helpful.

also will this turbo be good for a d15b7 thanks

 

it is a 42/48, it'll be a good match for the b7

 

yep should be a t3 42/48
has a weird mounting flange youll need a round gasket to make it work with most manifolds
newer cars used the mitsubishi turbo, id stay away from that one myself

 

im using a hf mani....could i just use some rcv sealent or mr. gasket for the round gasket? uhh i really dont feel like spending 170$ on a saab t3....so are u saying this volvo one wont work

 

no, exhaust will blow through it. i got some 16 gauge metal and made a gasket way wider than the flange, bolt it up, then took a hammer and crimped it around the turbo to seal. No more exhaust leaks

you can use a round exhaust gasket i have some part numbers but not with me ill posts them later
