the verdict on krb fab manifold and downpipe

Re: the verdict on krb fab manifold and downpipe
The misalignment was totally the fault on my behalf but ever since it was brought up, the problem have been solved. Here what the last three log manifold I sent out look like.
Hotrex, all the pipes are press into oval shape to match the port, but sometimes the pipes "walked" during the welding process thus creathing the misalignment problem. But the lesson is well learned and a solution has been developed. The exhaust flanges are bolted down to a 1" thick aluminum before welding. Aluminum was used because it can absorb the most heat out of most metal. Then flange then get resurfaced on a belt sander with 60grit paper, then 125grit paper to make sure it's smooth. There was about 2 manifolds I sent out that did not get resurface because the motor on the belt was out. I did check them before sending them out and they didn't seem to have the problem of warping.
Very well said, if there's something wrong with an order the customer is not totally satisfied with it, I'd try to work something out with them as I do like people to be happy with my products also. Whenever I recieve emails from people telling me the stuffs looked good and they're ready for a test run I get that sense of accomplisment. I'm pretty much doing this because I enjoy grinding, cutting, fabbing and especially welding so getting rich is probably at the bottom of the list :P

You guys have to figure that most of us that make manifolds dont really make much per manifold. If you want absolute perfection you will pay out the ***. Most of us part time fabricators do the best we can and produce low cost alternatives.

I have to say the same thing when I was making traction bars.

ill vouch for krb-fab. my friend jason had a ram horn and a 3"dp made by him a while ago, before he started really selling them. it was beautiful and the price was very decent

that misalignment isnt all that bad compared to my buddys lovefab. wow was that thing ugly. and thats an expensive peice of brand name junk. i'm rockin the krb manifold. i'll post up some pics of the entire setup done in the krb shop. pretty much started from scratch one day, full turbo kit installed the next night.
i vouch for a great guy, great skills, and mad tight customer service!
i'm still trying to challenge his shipping gaurantee, no matter how much i call to distract him, he still gets his ---- done on time, and its not like any other manifold company where they say turnaround time is 3 weeks. krb turnaround is freaking 3 days. incredible
