Just make sure the guy doesn't bring his B game when he makes your stuff. This came from a friend. Just received his log mani.

No real negativity here, as the guy offered to replace it and refund some cash, so thats on his side.

Anyways, nice welds...but need to spend a bit more time on the actual fabrication of the pieces and lining stuff up.

yea mine had the same thing. but i just ported it out so no biggie. but thats something to correct in the future..........for what i paid i can't complain.

id agree that its not a big deal that they're mis-aligned and it can be ported out, but in reality, KRB should be porting them before he ships them out.

for what you paid? ---- i did dan's manifold for free labor and still spent time porting it some.

Did you do it for a living?

How much do you think he could port? Aren't those stainless pipes thinner than say the normal mcmaster bends? I put my log manifold together recently and it's a bitch trying to get all 7 joints to line up just perfect. But then again, it's a log manifold, so I don't care.

cash back and a new log. .damn. He's hella generous and prioritized on timely manners, as i told him i need it in exactly 5 days i had it in 3. Service and feedback is awesome, so sometimes thing can be sacrificed especially if you know you're gonna get a refund and no restocking ---- or something like that you get money back. Damn lol. its all good.

yeah its not cake getting them to line up.

dan's log lined up like that. i spent maybe 15-20 mins and have all 4 ported pretty well.

by the looks of them, they are about as thick as the mcmaster sched10 stuff.

I make manifolds. Sometimes the misalignment is an issue. I generally blend mine to the flange with the tig before they go out though. Im not a professional welder or manifold fabricator. I do like people to be happy with my product. I would assume KRB is a part time gig for this guy too. He really does nice work. You guys have to figure that most of us that make manifolds dont really make much per manifold. If you want absolute perfection you will pay out the ***. Most of us part time fabricators do the best we can and produce low cost alternatives.

yea mis-alignment is common its hard to get a round tube to line up perfect with an oval port. but i ported and blended mine fine. btw its a good idea to resurface those flanges on the belt sander because mine arrived warped. because they become distorted during welding

not if you bolt the flange down..... you need to oval the pipe before you match it to the head flange also.
