Re:V8 turbo
i havnt taken a look at the plumbing of the LT1 manifolds, DO NOT just run the turbo off one bank of cylinders... you could routhe exhaust from one bank straight into the other manifold... and weld a turbo flange on top of the manifold... kinda like this picture if you can understand the concept.. sorry for the shitty drawing...

I have once ridden in a Typhoon before. It is a v6 not a V8 if im correct. It is domestic GMC but the damn thing launched like a rocket no exageration! What sucks is knowing how GMC works "what? we have a decent vehicle with potential? Cease production now!"

Re:V8 turbo
1 megasquirt will run 8 injectors it has 2 banks of up to 4 injectors firing in batch mode.
2 never want to put only one side of an engine through the turbo.. uneven backpressure is bad..
most v8 single turbos run a pipe up from the stock y pipe after the two sides have joined.. "even backpressure".. however i do agree that it may be "cheaper to go twin turbo on this project" and definetly would make alot more power.
And it looks soo cool!!!!!!!
