Default Updated compression test in

Well last week i put the vacuum manifold on and fixed my exhaust leak. My car is has the infomus surging idle now. from 1000 to 1400 up and down. No problem i get ahold of Dave for a retune set up for sunday.

I was at work today and my car sounds like a mac truck agian. Could be the super high idle or i just never really heard my exhaust without that exhaust leak. (it was a pretty big one)

So i was doing some searching around at work found a post to take the tubing off the IM for this obd1 to obd2 box. I unpluged this tube with the car running and the idle went crazy high. prolly around 4krpm. i pluged that back in and notice smoke comming from the crank case tube. pretty much just had this tube sitting there and not routed back into anything. I got scared and went around to the back of the car this is what i find.

Now Please tell me i am not fucked. Maybe my car is just running super rich. My vacuum at idel is 21-22ish at 3krpm is below 10. So i get home pull my plugs.

Not sure but if you can see the haze there thats alot of smoke i see comming from something that never smoked before the turbo.

Any thoughts idea's.. Other then the smoke/idle my car seems to run fine, I am kinda scared to beat on it to make sure the power is still there.

TIA

I dont know what your problem is, but I have a turbo tacoma that is running well, and it has been vomiting up that black diahrrea since I installed my 3" exhaust...I have been wondering what it is too... hehe

that black ---- is probably water with carbon in it.

your exhaust (especially if it doesn't have a cat) will always have carbon in it; and when you first start the motor and the system is cold condensation will form that water will eventuallypick up some carbon and come out as that goop.

my car is running a 2.5" open dp that comse out right below the front x-member pointing straight down; it leaves a 6" circle of that ---- every time i fire it up after its sat for a while; once the dp and turbo warm up so there is no condensation no more pukeage

Will it also do this if its cold outside or moisture in the exhaust? (Spit out like some whitish smoke (moisture) when cold start and revved up).

any difference if i bought those used 3 and then had to buy a new one. Car should run the same? i got quoted 495 shipped for cp pistons & the rings Seems like a fair deal.

Cheapest i could find was SRP 9:0:1 381+ shipping then i would have to also buy rings for around 90 bucks Still looking for another few hours tho.

I have never meet beau before. if sombody talks to him refer him to this post. i am looking to buy tomorrow
