Default bov not blowing off?

alright well i just got my bov flange welded on my piping. im pretty sure i have no leaks. i hooked the vaccuum line onto the fpr . where my boost guage and fmu are hooked up on the same line. i get about 4 psi let go and my bov does not go off. i dont have any washers in it to make the spring harder. so im not sure what is wrong. any suggestions? like cut the spring a bit or change to another vaccuum source. thank you

Seems like a weak vac source especially when tied into the fmu, tap the brake booster line. If that doesn't help cut a couple coils off the spring.

i think the vacuum source is probably fine.

4psi isnt ---- for pressure for a bov.

what bov is this?

turbo xs what? rfl? i use to have one and it wouldn't usually blow off with anything less than about 3-4 psi. i'd try a different vacuum source, if that doesn't work, cut a coil or 2 off the spring. make sure all of the o-rings are in tact and it's getting a good seal first.

my car looks exactly like urs except with altezzas nice car :P. but yea i dont have any washers and i think i was making about 5 psi boost i couldnt really read the boost guage to good cuz it was dark. i was making at least 4psi in each gear . and i should be able to hear the bov cuz the my exaust is stock with 2.5 inch piping for like 2 feet with a rice can. not to loud. ive heard bov's on srt4s and eclipses in nuetral they sound pretty loud so im pretty sure i should hear mine a little bit but i didnt. so im going to try tommorow tapping into intake mani where catch can went. i cant tell if its my turbo spooling up or if its the bov leaking off boost but i doubt it was leaking boost
