Default Twin turbo D16Z6

I have 2 IHI RHB5 turbos and I was wondering if a D16Z6 can spool both of them. I'm making a custom manifold and I know I can get it to work I'm just unsure if 2 cylinders of a D series can spool on turbo.

Are you trying to be original by doing this or are you trying to gain the most power. I think you would be better off getting one larger turbo. Twin turbos are proven to be a major pain in the *** and in MOST cases it doesn't gain you anything. Have you ever looked at the uprade kits for TT supras and such? They are single turbo conversions. They did this for a reason.

I know that one big turbo is the best way to go but I got both turbos for dirt cheap so I figure why not. I just wanted to do something different. I have no problem with the pipework I just want to know if 2 RHB5's are too much for the 1.6 to spool.

I recal seeing this in a ricer mag a few years back. The guy had it in a yellow REX but he couldnt get it to run right. It looked cool couse both turbos were chromed t4s with all crome housing.Too bad it looked better than it ran.

TT is always better than single turbo. unless drag race only. the reason people have two turbos. either parallel (spelling?) or true TT, so they can spool faster and have more bottom end.

a true tt setup with two independant turbos, should have two small ones that would equal the amount of air you want to run. you two small compressors making 8psi instead of one. and also you have twice the airflow while not waiting to spool a bigger turbine... i'm pretty sure about this but i could be wrong about the twice and much airflow at the same psi. but i'm pretty sure at least :/

I was thinking of that a while ago,But for shows cause my local turbo place said it wouldnt make that much more power and for the price u can just mount a TO4 and it would ---- on it.

This is my diagram not sure what style it is.I was going to use 2 rhb6 ball bearing turbos which ar pretty much the same size as b5

I didn't even think you could run turbos in series, I know that a T04 is the best way to go but that would be the more expensive option for me. I have everything I need to do it and I've spent less than $200. Its one of those things that I just want to see if I can do it. I just don't want to build something that the engine can't spool. This is the first time I used IHI turbos and I don't know how the will boost.
