turbo's on a Corvette
Ok guy's maybe I did not give you the right info. I have a 1980 Corvette with 2" round exhaust pipes. I want to adapt turbos to the car. I have seen turbo unit with square flanges that bolt to the exhaust manifold. Since I am going to a round pipe I need some type of turbo that will take a round pipe or some type of adapter the will allow me to connect a 2" pipe to it. Also this car is carburated so I need to make or find a adapter that fits a 5 1/4" carb opening. if any one has any suggestions please let me know. thanks Joe

usually you dont bolt the turbo to the actual exhaust pipe, you put it on the manifold. But i have seen v8 setups that run piping to the turbo, in which case you would need to weld a flange onto the pipe that matches the turbo.
