Default Turboing 1988 Corolla

Is it possible to turbo a 1988 Toyota Corolla LE? I can think of a few problems off the top of my head. Like the car being an automatic and carbed. I doubt anyone has tried this before but if anyone has I would like some info on it. Wondering, why would anyone turbo a 1988 Rolla? Everyone constantly makes fun of the car and it is notorious within a 25 mile radius for being a piece. Although it is known as a piece, it is a fun car just to ---- around in, such as rallying. Any help would be appreciated... Also what the hell would I do for fuel management?

Nothing wrong with having a turbo beater. It's good to have a beater _anything_.. I have a beater gun I carry into the woods with me all the time.

It is very possible if you have the fabrication skillz. The problem you are going to run into is the modification of that carb for blow thru support. If memory serves me right, that's a single barrel POS carb, I've rebuilt one many years ago. It will be difficult to meter the A/F properly, you will have to re-jet the bitch and probably add a fuel injector or two in the line for higher rpm boosting.

If you are serious about this project, let me know, I can point you in the right direction.
