Turbo'in a D-Series.... D-Guru's I need you again
I'm almost done piecing together my turbo project for my d16Z6. I'm just tryin to figure out a few last things...
What is the D-seies motor's MAP sensor good to as far as it's possitive manifold reading?? I've heard 10psi is the limit, after that it can't read anymore.....?
I've also been told that anything over 5psi on a d-seies and ARP head studs are a necessity?
Also do i need to run gasket's between my HF manifold and adapter plate? as well as between my Adapter Plate and turbo?
Thanks alot guys, any help is alwayse appreciated. I'm used to All-Motor ls/vtec setup's not boosted D's... I'm only a clutch away from being turbo once I send out my last order for parts. Other than if it's recomended that i use arp's and get some turbo gasket's.....

Pat lost a headgasket last spring and went to ARP's
they aren't a necessity but a good idea, just wait for your first HG to blow before you swap it.
all the honda stock map sensors will read around 11-12psi.
gaskets between the turbo and mani, not a bad idea. ive gone without without problems before tho.

who ever told you that you needed headstuds for over 5 psi is dumb. i dont think ive ever seen/heard of anyone having head lifting issues at such low boost. again as **** said after you blow your first gasket and you will just replace em then
