Default turbo guru's i need your help asap!

okay i picked up a borg warner ihi turbo for my SVO but the downpipe elbow has the wastegate flapper inside of it and the elbow turns straight into the motor. my questions is, since its a t3/t4 based turbo, can i just take the compressor wheel of my stock t3, and switch it with the one from the borgwarner along with the compressor housing? it has a bigger wheel and the housing is way bigger and will flow a ton compared to my stock. shafts look exactly the same. can this be done without having to do any type of balancing? let me asap guys i gotta get the car back on the road.

How about you just get a new downpipe connection and use the borg warner turbo...........

I can't remember where but I read where a guy cut off the elbow right before the flange and rotated it and re-welded.

Borg Warner is IHI, T3 is Garrett. IHI is not Garrett and the turbines, nor the compressor wheels are the same. Take your exhaust side and have someone cut you a flange so that you can make your own downpipe and position it any way that you choose. What you're asking will NOT WORK.

the problem is that waste gate flapper is part of the elbow...so i can't make a different one. i dont see how i could cut the flange, turn and reweld it being its such an odd shape. i just need to know if the wheel will fit properly, if not i'll put the stock one back on normal.

I already said it won't work. Besides the fact that they are two completely different wheels, the GM is 7.10mm and the T3 is 6.35mm. Have someone make a flange to allow you to move a downpipe any way that you want, block the wastegate off and use an external, or cut the existing elbow and have someone weld to it. Whatever route you choose, you can't simply throw the wheel on a Garrett turbine, it doesn't work that way.
