Default turbo ZC in the works...need help regarding fuel system

ok i;m planning on turboing my ZC and my main concern at the moment is fuel management. i've been told many things as far as what is adequate for providing the extra fuel that is needed for my setup taht i'm planning...i've been told that somehting as simple as a stock ecu/injectors and a vortech FMU will me good for what i need... and then i've had people tell me i must use a S-AFC..... then i've had people tell me to use a zdyne setup... so my question is this..

i am trying to do this as CHEAP as possible... its truly is a homemade turbo setup... i need to get a straight answer as to what i can get by with for the fuel system.

will the FMU work for me and keep my car reliable? if not what is the next cheapest way i can do this??

thanks a lot.. and for reference i;m including my planned setup
DSM t-25 with wastegate accuator shimmed to about 4lbs ( thanks)
-1G dsm SMIC
-cheap boost controller.. either a turbo XS one.. or a home depot $5 special... prolly the latter
-1G dsm BOV
-civic HF manifold with t-25 adapter plate ( dunno how i;ma do that yet)
-ghetto *** rigged IC piping ( actually.. prolly 2 inch exhaust piping with pie cuts for the bends)
-a vortech FMU for fuel management
- stock ECU/injectors.. i was told that as long as i have the FMU my ecu and injectors are adequate... is this true? ( i;m runnning an integra ecu.. btw.. and i think i have access to some 450cc dsm injectors if need be)

If you are only running 4psi you should use the FMU. That is such a low boost level it would almost be a waste to spend any more money than an FMU would cost. If you plan on going any higher, like say 8-10 psi I would suggest getting an AFC and some 450cc injectors.

well i will have the waste gate set ( rather.. shimmed) to 4psi.. and then use a grainger valve style boost controller... but i do not plan on exceeding 7-8psi EVER ( more like 6-7 psi realistically).. due to the weak nature of the ZC rods..so in my case..would you say that he FMU is safe?? even if i turn it up to about 7psi?

thanks a million yall

7-8psi is max on an FMU IMO. It should work pretty good. If you have the option, go for the 10:1 FMU.

------- sweet.. thanks man!! you have any idea how many people i had to talk to to get that damn answer??.. and go figure.... i get the right answer from the people who actually have boosted these motors... nice! thanks

and does it matter what application the FMU is designed for? the only 10:1 one i can find is for a 4.6L 2V mustang

BTW... nice avatar..gotta love the mouth full of spooge
