Sounds like a boost leak to me as well.

It also could be that the turbo is being restricted for some reason. Do you have a filter of any sort on there?

What kind of turbo is it?

No filter, its a Garrett T3 turbo. A/R .48 hot side. around .57 it looks like cold side. We plugged up a hole we found and ran it and it still wasnt boosting then something came loose. its our "lets hope it works" but it didnt rubber 90 degree coupler from turbo to straight pipe. We gotta get that fixed and see if we boost anymore if not we gotta keep looking

Fixed a wastegate leak, did some other things, Re did a piece of the piping its a lot better now. But still it jumps to 3 psi and holds there, no more.

The way I setup the boost gauge was normal from FPR line except that i needed an extension so i took a long piece of vacuum line and put it from the vacuum line on the BoV to where it should be. I dont know if that would make a difference.

The BoV sounds great by the way, you would 'think' its boosting full. The power seems like its more but not 8 psi worth.

Its still on a turbo basemap but i dont see why that would make that much of a difference even if it was the gauge that was bad.

Ugh heLp!

Gimme a little time, i have a couple more things i wanna try out since we found a couple leaks, but even after fixing the first one i wasnt boosting anymore it seemed. Gonna try and get this all hooked up right then ill check on the laptop what my map sensor is reading (since itll tell me if gauge is wrong or not) and God willing we'll get runnin

Went datalogging today with hondalog and crome pro, didnt hook up the wideband or anything like that, just wanted to test log and its funny cause ill get 5psi of boost reading on crome pro datalog but 2psi on my gauge x_x

Re: Turbo setup done- no boost?

My friend had his guage read 2psi off all the time, but that was only at the altitude we live at(mile high). See how it reads because you may be boosting before it actually starts reading it as boost.

Re: Turbo setup done- no boost?

it shouldnt be an issue, but try to have the boost guage the only source going to a nipple on the im and see if that changes anything....also does the guage sit at zero when the cars off, or is it 1 or 2 under
