this might seem like a complete headache, BUT u might not realize it but you are gaining knowlege many with they knew, most of the time it has to be through experiences like yours before.

about the idling, CHECK the BASE timing, and make sure it is OK.
u can retard it a bit if you would like to, just to be on the safe side.

or you can just simply turn the idle up.

I went out for a drive this morning, and it runs fine now. It still has to crank over more than normal though to get started, not sure why.

Don't give up... I was ready to because I was spending so much money on parts that sat in my garage collecting dust. When you're done and tuned, it will be worth it. :)

I think cause it's dumping more fuel then normal at idle.
But I heard that more people have that problem with the 450's and the hack

did u use one step colder spark plugs? maybe thats why your car is taking a while to start up.

Dont give up man.

It's not the AFC hack its the 450's that make the car hard to start. If your car is hot and you start it it will crank over nicely. If that is really bothering you then get some RC injectors, but those are $$$$ compared to DSM's.

I dont think so man, ur just giving it too much fuel, ur flooding the engine.

I don't think I"m flooding.

I would have to point that problem to either a fuel cut off, or flow restrictions. My dad's stock '85 volvo wagon with 330k miles on it used to throw a few cranks before starting.. I installed a complete exhaust on it (including catless setup) and now it starts a hell of a lot smoother.

Just a suggestion.
