This catch anyones attention? Turbo into pan drain should be angled down... always.. that upturn might be catching/slowing the oil and causing it to back up. My drain is slight down tilted (barbed fitting also) and at the top of the pan. 0 issues.

return fitting should be angled down......NEVER. that would make the oil have to run uphill. makes no sense to me. :1

I have a buddy with teh same problem. His manifold just hangs the turbo too low. the oil drain is straight across to the top of the pan. There is barely a declineto teh pan. He is in teh market for the pump as well. I will show him this thread.

I purchased a Titan oil return pump from BRE perfromance in N.C. The pump was $193 shipped to my door and has a higher temp rating of a constant 265 deg. This will be way more reliable than the 180 deg rated pump, oil coming off the turbo will be hella hot. Just like any other diaphram pump you have to route the oil from the turbo into a catch can @ a litre capasity and has to be vented.

The only catch is a there has to be a filter before the pump inlet. I'm using a remote oil filter, this will give the oil time to cool before entering the pump and to the life of the pump as well as giving added filtration to the system. I will be hooking my system up this weekend and the next and will report the out come.

my set up is a ls/vtec with love fab mini me EQ and T3/T4 turbo running the LS oil pan. I'm getting oil smoke at 12lbs of boost because of oil backing up into the turbo.

I had the remote oil mount just lying around and I'll make my catch can out of some steel or alum. I will be purchasing at home depo. With the price of 3/8 high temp hose, fittings, new oil filter, and pump I'm looking at a total cost of a little under $300 but thats better than getting rid of my well hung love fab mani.
