Default Turbo off a Dodge

Went to the junk yard today, and the guy has a 1990 dodge daytona. The car has 70,000 miles on it and he said he would sell the turbo off of it for $250. I think car still runs, the car had some outside damage. I might go back and see if it does run. My question is what kind of turbo is this, how much boost can this turbo put out, and is it a good price if the turbo is still in good condition. Also when does everyone usually get turbos rebuilt, i know it is going to vary between turbos.

I'm unfamiliar with the turbo but I can help you with price, $250 is way too much for a junkyard turbo. If he brings it down at least $100 and even at $150 it better have good *** seals and no shaft play

its a t03 or a teo4h you should try somewhere else. Keep looking and be patient. You will find one at a good price just keep looking. Heck, you can find a new t3 for 400 and some bucks.

Yeah when he said 250 i thought that was way too much. Plus i have to pull it my self and where it is will be a pain to get it out. Anyone know any stores that sell new turbos online for a good price, just want to see what new ones go for.

find a "pick your part" type place, around here they are $50 plus core (end up being about 60) canadian.

i wouldn't pay more than 100 for a junkyard turbo. regardless of condition.

if you're having problems locating new turbos for sale online try www.google.com or www.froogle.com

That turbo is a PITA to get off and not worth $150 pulled off the car already !!! I hate junkyard guys that think they can jack the prices of turbos b/c they saw a SVO Garrett turbo go for $200 on ebay and now they think every turbo is worth at least $200...

One dude offered me a great deal on a huge garrett T-27 turbo outta a 99' GSX for $250, and my friend and I laughed in his face and told him to get real and BTW its a T-25 stupid...
